ABOUT
Building resilience through tending body + earth
Hello!

My name is Amanda Krische and I am excited to have you here. Thank you for your time and exploration of the ways that I might be able to facilitate collaboration between you and the living world. I am grateful for the opportunity to share a bit more about my work, and how my various practices of movement, herbalism, breathwork, and ritual weave into my many offerings.

By way of introducing the various modalities that are woven through my practice, I’d like to offer a small introduction about who I am, where I come from, and what my big dreams for these offerings are.

To begin this introduction, I am an artist: devoted to the spirit of creation and the collaboration between the human and non-human world. A working dancer and performance artist, my work with the herbal world is woven into my practice as a devotional offering to community. I live and work in deep reverence to the mirrored images of the human body and the natural landscapes surrounding, and my passion is in researching and establishing methods and rituals by which we can optimize our sense of landing at home in the body through calling in the support of herbs, flowers, movement, and breathwork.

Working with clients one-to-one and in group workshops is some of my very favorite work to do, as it allows a guided approach to anchor into the presentations in each person's unique body and inner landscape, facilitating a detailed approach to working within the existing infrastructure of your lifestyle in order to generate support and facilitate change, where needed and desired.

Before listing credentials, it always feels important to say that I am a lover: of movement, plants, the human body, and the many stories we get to live through having a human experience. I am a dancer and choreographer; these disciplines have informed my understanding of the body as a vast portal through which to process emotion, move through memory, and integrate mind, body, and spirit. This way of working creates effective change, a sense of belonging, and a clarity with our own instinct and intuition. I am a student of Western alchemical traditions, and so abide by the adage “as within, so without”. Movement has really been my introduction, and constant companion, to understanding the capacity for a dialogue with our internal landscape to create real and lasting change in our external realities. My work as a choreographer has provided me access to a multitude of research opportunities, where I have received grants to research neurology and psychology at the University of Cambridge (UK) and New York University. I bring this work into my sessions with clients as I understand ritual as a way of working with our neurology as well as creating new neural circuits that encourage ease in lifestyle change and optimizing our energy, nervous systems, and capabilities for focusing and setting and achieving goals for ourselves.
My understanding of the nervous system and having a trauma-informed practice has also been established through my certification as a breathwork practitioner. This work uses durational breathing practices to over-oxygenate the body and reset the nervous system to facilitate parasympathetic flow, allowing a greater capacity for the body to adapt to stress, develop resilience, and somatically process traumatic imprints that have landed in the body.
As an herbalist, I have received my certification in Clinical Herbalism in the Vitalist Tradition under the tutelage of Sajah Popham, graduated from a three-year apprenticeship with Robin Rose Bennett, apprenticed to herbalist Marysia Miernowska, and am currently embarking on a training with Liz Migliorelli in the intersection of herbalism and creative practice. My passion is in listening closely to the health history and current presentations alive in each individual’s unique physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual life, and in collaborating on infrastructure that will add support where desired as well as acutely address any specific goals that fall into those areas. The language of the flowers offers a vibrational medicine that helps to give voice to subconscious patterning in order to allow us to dialogue with our internal landscape. I have found flower essences to be supreme allies for carrying us through periods of transformation and emotional upheaval, and I received my certification as a Flower Essence Therapy Practitioner in 2021.

My passion is in weaving these modalities together to help clients deepen their relationship with their own physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual terrain. All work is client-led and adapted to suit their needs and desires. It is my great honor to be woven into the incredible work of helping others tap into their resources of creativity, joyful living, nervous system regulation, and yes, healing, though I do find that to be an overused term and want to underscore my belief that healing is an abundantly spiralic process, always changing and never requiring one direction.
In making your way through this site, you can find my current offerings: a banquet of herbal remedies, consultations, and group workshops. I hope that something here calls out to help you on your journey.

With care + gratitude,
Amanda
